I want to donate my computer, how do I delete ALL of my files from it?
I just bought a lap top and would like to donate my old computer but I have a lot of private and personal things on it… I want to delete all of that. I do not want the person who gets it to be able to see or know anything I have had on my computer or sights I visit (I use my credit card online and use online banking)…
How do I do this?

you can buy a operating system and like (XP or Vista or 7) and wipe it off……you may want to get someone who knows what they are doing…..P.S it will make your computer faster and it will wipe it off and all you will need to do after that is del. The folder: Windows.old and boom done

If you wish to leave the hard drive in the computer, you can get a free software called DBAN on the internet. This is "Dariks Boot and Nuke". It uses similar technology to military type "cleaning technology" in that it erases everything on your hard drive and overwrites the spaces with numbers. You can run this several times to be safer. But there’s still no guarantee that someone with the proper software and loads of time on their hands, could still come up with some private information if given the opportunity. Some people buy these donated computers really cheap just to try their skills at retrieving whatever information they can from a hard drive. If you use the DBAN, then you must re-install the operating system anyway. If you don’t the computer is likely useless to many people. Really the safest thing to do is to remove the hard drive and either keep it for any possible backup of your files still on it or take a sledge hammer and enjoy beating the hard drive to a pulp! Some larger facilities even have a grinder that a hard drive can be run through to destroy it. If some one wants a cheap computer without a hard drive, it would only cost them another $30 or $40 bucks for a decent hard drive. They could get the operating system they want and install it. Alright, i have heard that there is going to be new episodes of Futurama aired on Comedy Central soon (and i don’t mean the movies; example: Bender’s Big Score, The Beast With a Billion Backs, and so forth, but actual 30 min. episodes).

Fellow Prius Owners, do you have the same problem as I – see details please?
I have a 2005 Prius and noticed well over a year ago an entirely different problem with brakes then has been currently released in news.
Anytime I run over a quick (however small or large) jolting bump in the road (ex. like railroad tracks) and if I hit the brakes at the same exact moment I’m going over that bump – they don’t work period.
The brakes only work on smooth road.
This happens so infrequently but is a real problem I have.
No, I never took it to the shop and yes I know I should have.
Do you notice the same problem?
It really ticks me off because if I am hitting the brakes while driving over a jostling bump it’s usually because I need to!
Don’t misunderstand, I mean brakes don’t work period when going over a bump, they work immediately after shocks stabilize and bump is done with usually a second later.

Has any one had any luck with a selling veggies online instead of a food stand?
I was just curious if any body had thought of placing orders on their website for veggies to local customers? lie you would post pictures on the web and with X qty they could pay online etc and then they could schedule a pic up?
Most people who buy food on line do it because it will be delivered. For example, they are elderly and can’t get to the grocery store. Or they’re really busy and don’t have time to go shopping.
If they have to go to the store to pick up the food, they might as well go to the store and just buy it there.
And personally, I wouldn’t buy and pay for perishable items without seeing them first in person. Sure, your tomatoes might look wonderful on your website, but after I pay for them and go to get them, it turns out that the bottoms are mushy but that didn’t show on the picture.
Nice try, though. Shows you’re thinking of how to make money.

What to do with our German Shepherd puppy during the day?
We have a 7 week old german shepherd and she has generally been a great dog so far. The only problem is I work during the day and my wife works 3 nights a week as a nurse. So we don’t know what to do with the dog during the day. She’s fine in her crate at night but by 7 am she’s is ready to be out and she cries the whole time if we put her in there. My wife has to sleep during some days so what should we do?
Those of you that follow the current trend in dog raising are clearly off base which makes it hard to consider your answers. Regardless of the popular opinion, there is still argument as to when the best time to get a puppy is. Many argue that it is more difficult to housebreak a dog at 10-12 weeks. Our vet who has 30 years experience says it is fine. Socializing the dog is key and that needs to be done regardless of the age and can be done regardless of the age.
As for our schedule, it actually works out fine past these beginning weeks. The dog is fine at night as we take it out like anybody else would. My wife has 4 full days off a week which is way more than most and the days that she sleeps she wakes up at 2-3 and I come home for lunch to let the dog out and play with it.
My questions was simply what to do with her for the 4 hours shes alone which compared to other dog owners, probably most of you included, is rather short. I apologize for not being clearer before.
Not have a 7 week old puppy for starts. It should still be with mom. Crating a puppy is fine. It should be not crated when you or your wife is home. the puppy don’t understand that your wife works nights and needs to sleep, it gets frustrated because it wants to spend time doing puppy things and it’s stuck in a crate for too long. Adopt a older dog next time. Your schedule sounds to irregular for a puppy.

how long have you had this puppy? honestly, if you had left the pup with its mother until the recommended 10-12 weeks you would not have such a problem on your hands.
the best advice i can give you is to put paper down on kitchen floor puppy proof and leave toys, baby gate her in there.

I hate to say this, but it doesn’t really sound like this dog was a good choice for you… sounds like you should have gone for a much smaller and less active breed. How did you get her so young, anyway? She should be still with her dam another week.
Perhaps enroll her in a puppy kindergarten?

Who sold you a 7 week old pup? It should still be with it’s mom and littermates. Sounds like she’s spending way too much in he crate. Sounds like things just aren’t going right with the dog. Does your breeder’s contract allow you to return the dog? That’s probably what you should do.

50 years ago when my parents got our family dog, puppies were not sold until 12 weeks. 30 years ago most puppies were sold at 6 weeks (at least in australia they were). Today it is recommended 8 weeks. I can not remember that our 6 week old pup had any more issues than our 8 week old puppy.
But to answer your question, don’t leave the pup in the crate in the morning, it would not be fair. You could consider blocking the kitchen or bathroom and letting the puppy play in this small safe area. This would be best in the short term. put some paper down in one corner, water container in another and plenty of toys. Also put a towel or something washable in another corner for its nap, make this bed washable as puppies have a habit of piddling, spilling water and spreading the mess.

to me my mind will always be more "real". for me my body always was in easy terms, an interface to interact with the outside world. the info it collects brought back to the mind for interpretation. i don’t often look into a mirror and recognize the face looking back at me. i enjoy my body as it is, it can feel soft things of which i love. allows me to see, feel, and take in the world around me. but what i have never been able to reconcile is the differences between how i see myself and what others do. they see what they want to see and i have long given up on showing them fully who i am. they wouldn’t understand. my mind is more representative of me, it is me.

I find my mind more real than my body, because it represents me more basically than my body.
In fact the mind is always more closer to the being than the physical body.
