Someone Like You… (2001)

Plot: After a series of ill-fated relationships, Jane (Ashley Judd) has finally met Mr. Right, Ray (Greg Kinnear) – he’s emotionally available, and not afraid of commitment. Six weeks into their blissful courtship, he asks her to move in with him, and they start looking at apartments. But little by little Ray starts to pull away, until Jane realizes that once again she’s been dumped. Jane’s womanizing coworker, Eddie, just happens to be looking for a roommate, and Jane reluctantly moves in. Desperate to understand what happened and get over Ray, Jane comes up with a theory of interpreting male-female relations by observing the behaviors of wild animals. She shares this idea with a friend who works at a men’s magazine (Marisa Tomei) and is given an anonymous editorial column devoted solely to her thoughts on the matter. But no one could have predicted the chord she’d strike among women with her theory, and the column’s wild success makes Jane start to question her conclusions – and opens her eyes to what might be right in front of her.

As he embarks on his mission to free Bishop, Muir recalls how he recruited and trained the young rookie, at that time a sergeant in Vietnam, their turbulent times together as operatives and the woman who threatened their friendship.

Super Troopers (2001)

Plot: Thorny, Mac, Rabbit, Foster and Farva are Vermont state troopers out to have a good time. Stationed in a remote area near the Canadian border, the troopers, avid pranksters with an affinity for syrup, have a knack for screwing up on the job. But when budget cuts in the town of Spurbury threaten their livelihood and pit them against arch-rival Spurbury P.D., the five friends try to straighten up and fly right. That is, until a dead body is discovered and a possible drug ring is unearthed. The super troopers spring into action attempting to solve the crime, save their jobs, and outdo the local police department.

Gosford Park (2001)

Plot: Set in the 1930’s the story takes place in an old fashioned English country house where a family has invited many of their friends up for a weekend shooting party. The story centers around the McCordle family, particularly the man of the house, William McCordle. Getting on in years William has become benefactor to many of his relatives and friends. As the weekend goes on and secrets are revealed, it seems everyone, above stairs and below, wants a piece of William and his money, but how far will they go to get it…?
