What should I pay a housesitter?
I’m leaving town for a week and a friend will be staying at my house, feeding my dog, 2 cats, an aquarium and an outside koi pond; as well as getting mail and other home things. What is a reasonable amount to pay my friend for doing this? Also, should I stock food for her?
I would say between $100-130 would be fair. That’s what my grandparents pay me for the same sort of thing. Pay her when you come home, depending on how satisfactory the job that she did is. If the hous eis trashed, dont give her $150! I also would stock up the fridge, since she is staying to help you at your request.

cuz i downloaded the ‘hitchhikers guide to the galaxy’ after feeling the urge to see it like, a month ago and i want to know if i broke the law. i’m also currently downloading ‘year one’ cuz i’m poor as shit and i wanna see it. i’ll restrain myself from downloading ‘zombie land’ as long as possible cuz i would like to support whoever made it if i can afford it. (me loves me some zombie movies)
side note: i downloading/ed ‘year one’ from kick a$$ torrents (replace $ with s) i don’t know if that’ll help but i may as well say it.

Completely, totally, 100% illegal. If you get caught you’re looking at a fine of up to $250,000.00 per movie. And it’s really easy to get caught. The MPAA pays large companies to watch popular files like Zombieland and see who downloads them. Once they have your IP address and see that you’ve completed the download, they have enough evidence to go to your ISP, get your name and address and start the lawsuit process.

No. In many other questions like this, I stress about it a lot.
A lot of people say it is illegal to download warez or torrents. Fact is, it’s not illegal downloading them.
BUT, if you were to download them, and re upload them on a different website and give them to friends, it is illegal.
So, say hitchhikers guide to the galaxy was uploaded by Bob.
Bob bought it, ripped it, and uploaded it.
You went to download it.
You downloading the movie, is not illegal. But, Bob uploading the movie is illegal. He also ripped the movie, which is illegal. I’m sure no one will care about music uploaded and shared, because it’s done so often. But, movies, ripped and uploaded is pretty, ehh; bad.
So, you on your end by downloading them is not illegal. But, whoever uploaded the movie, their part is bad.

I'm friends w. a sag again – what should I expect?
I’m a sag and he’s a sag – important part of my life. He was one of my first friends I had when I started college and became a very close friend. Knew him inside and out, his reactions, attitudes and could easily imitate it. We somehow fell for each other and were intimate (no sex) for a while and he did like me back. After that was weird and we just got distant – didn’t know what was up but he was a passive coward. I was miserable and not myself…the worse I’ve seen myself. A year later he comes back and being very affectionate and close like old times but had a bad feeling something was up. I found out on his bday (which is a week before mine) he was dating a girl (who had also liked him around that time) and they just broke up and wanted her back. He never told me, all our mutual friends knew, and I never knew the truth. I was his "comfort" girl and felt disrespected and from there on, I ended our friendship. For someone who did ME wrong, he had so much pride. I was numb to feelings and continued to go out there and meet many people and had great experiences. I went through alot the past year and feel as if I’m 5 years older and I’m a completely different and better person. It wasn’t until a bout a month ago, I finally just started grieving over what happened and cried about it…felt it…let it go. Today was his birthday…was aware of it but didn’t think much of it. There was something in me that wanted to wish him well despite my reservations, so I texted him. I didn’t know what I wanted or what to expect from it but nothing. Although I did expect him to be pissy about ("augh why is this girl texting me, ruining my night"?). Within about 2 hours, he texted me "thank you " and it was like old times again…but in a newer generation (hard to explain). And w. that we had conversations here and there on his bday night and invited me, "you should come here", and when i politely declined (i was somewhere else, he kept telling me to be safe and drive safe). Wow. I never thought in million years this would ever happen…it really is a miracle and very surreal. For the first time in a long time, i’m not just "happy" or excited…i’m very genuinely happy.
He invited me to hang out friday for another party but I’ll probably have something planned….until MY birthday. What do you think? (on both sides of our situation) and what can I expect? Sag males…they’re great friends but you never know but then again, this past year was really hard on us and things ended soo badly…

Has anyone had a starfish spawn in their tank?
I have a 75 gal tank with several different starfish including brittle stars and serpent stars. I did a good water change and added a bag of live sand. Imoved rocks around and generally just did some changing around. 2 days later I have a bunch of little baby starfish in my tank. They are white in color at this time. Did these come in the live sand,or did my other stars reproduce? Are starfish egglayers or livebearers. Thanks for any help I can get.
It’s likely they came with the sand but…it’s not impossible that they bred in the tank.
While they breed by releasing eggs and sperm into the water (see link below) they can also reproduce by regeneration. In your case it’s obviously not regeneration.
Starfish babies spend a long time in planktonic state. If they bred in the tank they’ve been around there for a while and you may have lost some of the babies in your water change.

what you are seeing is either micro brittle stars (tiny brittle stars white some times with black bands on the arms) or asterina stars (usually 6-7 legs almost always have a few really long legs and a few shoer stubbed legs, webbed at the base, mostly white but if you look close you might see a light gray in the center) and in both cases came with your live rock or sand

Why are some of my classmates looking down upon me?
I’m currently getting post-bachelor degree teacher certification and taking 2 night classes. I’m 25 years old, and one of the youngest people, if not the youngest person in the classes. Most of the other women in the class are around 30 and up, and a good portion of them are married with children (or divorced, with children).
I dress nice for class everyday, because I come from working a full-time office job…never slutty.
When I first started this class I was pretty shy, because I’m shy in all new situations, but now I’m very outspoken (not to the point where I bash people or interrupt people–I just have high participation). I also get a lot of male attention (I’m thinking it’s because I’m a decent looking girl and 25, as compared to the other Mom-types who come in wearing sloppy sweatshirts, no makeup, etc…not work clothes, like me).
I’m very, very nice to everyone, never gossip about anyone, but there are these 2 mid-30’s moms that seem to fixate on me and it’s very obvious they talk about me. It’s very obvious they say nasty things about me, and I don’t think I’m imagining it, because I have heard them say nasty things about other people, too.
I want to know, honestly, are there things that are considered rude to do in a class (I’m trying to succeed, so I’m not going to stop participating!)? I want to know if I could do anything to deserve them giving me the cold shoulder all of the time.
What do you think their problem is? How can I deal with them when I hear them whispering and look up and they’re both looking at me??
dont say slutty… who in the heck could ever figure all people out what makes their minds tick or think…. maybe you just count it as a challenge to your life.. everything has a challenge.. as much as we wish its all on a silver platter or spoon too ..it never is handed to us as smooth sailing ..so rather than focus on them in that wordy sense see it as a challenge.. and some people cant help what kinda clothes they wear.. good luck..

Don’t worry about them, there are some people who are just bitter about almost everyone. You say that those two women gossip about other people too, so it probably means that they just like to talk rudely about everyone because they find a sick pleasure in doing so. Another reason might be because they are in fact jealous of your youth and they are angry about not being able to match you physically.
Just forget about people like that, I’m pretty sure that there are heaps of people in your class that like you.

If you haven’t discovered this yet, there’s a lot of feelings of competition in both genders. I think you’ve already noted the things they would be jealous about.
I would try to make friends with them. Let them know you’re just like them on the inside.
No one likes to be looked down upon. It seems that you look down upon them….(slutty, sweats, etc.).
We females pick up on that sort of thing right away, just like you picked up on their feelings right away.
If you ‘flaunt’ what you have, then you can expect to be judged for it.

What do you think? Pregnant or PMS?
Okay first day of last period november 17th, intercourse 20th, 21st,23rd 30th and the first and second. I have very sore breast and tingly, hot flashes, white discharge which just started today, very thirsty, strange dreams, and i got the worst cold about a week ago and I never get sick. So, just want opinions, you think i’m pregnant or just having pms. Period is either due next week or the week after. They range from 22 days to 28 days apart. and last three days.
also a bad taste in my mouth no matter what. drinking juice is the only thing that helps

I’ve read that you can have symptoms as early as two weeks after unprotected sex and that some women don’t have any til two months into pregnancy so I think it could be either. Hope i’m pregnant. it is a possibility but i think it is too early to tell…. my 1st day of last period was the 3rd November.. i have sore nipples, exhausted, emotional, white discharge … so similar sysmptoms but my periods late by 3 days.. i took a test this morning and it was negative so its a possibilty that its too early for a test to be positive… the only thing that you can do and is probably the hardest it the waiting game!
.. im gunna wait another few days and test again… if again negative and no period i think it will be a trip to the docs!! … probably gunna be the same for you as the doctor will more than likely tell you to wait until you actually have a missed period!!

It would be too early to notice any pregnancy signs yet. I started mine on the 17th also, but i haven’t noticed anything else so far…what kind of discharge was it? If it was EWCM, or Egg white cervical Mucus, then that would mean that you ovulated on that day. Its not uncommon to ovulate a little later. You should expect your period in another two weeks, if it doesn’t show, then test!
