 Changing Lanes (2002)

Plot: An attorney (Ben Affleck) in a rush to make a court appointment to file legal papers involving a multi-million dollar trust accidentally collides with an alcoholic insurance salesman (Samuel Jackson), who also is a rush for a court appointment involving the custody of his children. The attorney leaves the scene of the accident and strands the salesman, causing him to miss his custody hearing. During the process of the post-crash discussion, the attorney accidentally drops the papers he needs to present in court. The judge gives him until the end of the day to present the papers and thus begins a cat and mouse game between the proponents. A few questionable actions later on both parties’ part, they finally start questioning their actions and their lives. In the end, both come to new understanding of what is important and appear to be set in new ethical and moral directions. Contains mild violence and profanity.

Plot: Jan Schlichtmann is a successful lawyer whose practically his own entrepreneur. He’s a humble bachelor with a nice car, a nice house, and a career that has amassed huge rewards. I recently got married at a very expensive venue in downtown Chicago and they messed up the dinner?
Two months before the wedding we went to the venue and picked out the menu and went over special dietary instructions etc… Upon dinner we noticed they served the wrong potatoes and the wrong vegetable dish. We let them know and at the time there was nothing they can do. To top it off we gave them special instructions about my wife’s grandpa’s dish and they gave him the wrong plate and his throat swelled up almost to the point of hospitalization. We told the wedding lead about the dinner and they acknowledge they screwed up and offered free rooms and dinners but that is not good enough as we paid a fortune for the wedding. What are my options? We want to be civil and not get greedy as we would have rather had everything go smooth to avoid this. The only thing is we signed the contract (which was wrong but we didn’t know at the time) that stated the fancy potato and vegetable names but we assumed they wrote down the right side dishes. There was 4 of us their that can testify about the dishes we picked and how they were wrong. We were thinking to have them meet our terms which is half the dinner that they messed up multiplied the amount of guests plus a little more to compensate missing work, grandpa issue etc..or face legal action. Any law advice would be great? Furthermore, what are their options as well? Accept? Decline? Settle?Can they counter suit in any way what will their options be as well?
Well if you signed a contract and they did everything in the contract, there really isn’t anything you can do. They are protected under the law. If the changes you wanted were not amended to the contract or explicitly in there then just take the free rooms and dinner. It sucks but you should’ve looked over the contract more carefully and not signed it until everything was how you wanted it. Sorry…to sue them it would be a waste of your time and money.

Judge Judy to your rescue!
This was obviously a mistake and the caterers are responsible for it. Especially, you know you wanted a special kind of food due to allergy reasons (grandpa), and you would not make that mistake.
The caterers are responsible. However, all your will get is not have to pay the bill.
In some cases, because someone was hurt due to negligence (throat swelling up), they can be sued for that.
Try small claims court (settling money disputes as high as 3,000 to 5,000 depending on state).

If the signed contract matches what they served, it isn’t likely you are going to get much from them. Legally, you got the meal you agreed too, even if something different was also discussed.

i would talk to a lawyer just for the sake of it. who knows? you might be awarded the entire cost for your wedding at the venue. never give up for what you paid. you should’ve been treated the way you paid for. no screw up allowed! it was your most important day

Why is the film 'the diving bell and the butterfly' called that?
I know it’s a translation of the french title but i’d be interested to hear the reason for it being called that
It is from the prologue of the book the movie was based on. The direct quote is…
"My diving bell becomes less oppressive, and my mind takes flight like a butterfly. There is so much to do. You can wander off in space or in time, set out for Tierra del Fuego or for King Midas’s court."

Films For 12-17 Year Old Girls?
Hi, I was wondering if you could give me some ideas for some girly teenager films but please only between 12-17. I Would like the kind of film 2 be between 2000 2009 (now) As i was wanting to buy some really girly fims then i could have a Sleepover. You MIGHT like The House Bunny- but I’ll tell you, I bought it thinking it looked good (I really like Anna Faris) but I didn’t really laugh at all and was pretty disappointed.
Anyway, you should get Stardust, it’s wonderful!! 50 First Dates is good too. Also…

 Scary Movie 4 (2006)

Plot: Anna Faris returns as the caring yet dumb witted Cindy Campbell in the latest installment of the Scary Movie Franchise. Cindy has taken up a job as a house caretaker for a nice old lady that is said to be cursed. Cindy moves right in and the house is located right next to Craig Bierko as Tom Ryan, a down on his luck father. Cindy soon discovers a dreaded secret about the house and she is comforted by Tom who is watching his children for the weekend. As soon as the two become more then just friends, a huge storm rolls on in and hits the town. Tom discovers a giant hole in the ground and an alien TrIpod emerges from it’s depth’s. Meanwhile, Cindy finds the soul of a tortured boy living inside the house who tells her he knows the secret on how to defeat the aliens. But before he gives it too her, he vanishes. The only way to figure out the mystery is to find the boy’s father. Cindy and Tom split away from each other and Tom, with his children, seek refuge in a torn up basement owned by shotgun wielding man named Oliver. Cindy, while trying to figure out her own mystery, bumps into her old friend Brenda Meeks. Teogether, they decide to defeat the aliens. Brenda then discovers a hidden village outside of town and Cindy figure’s out the boys father is somewhere inside. Now it’s up to Cindy and Brenda to find the boys father and unfold the mystery on how to defeat the aliens, who in fact have their own plans on how to torture such people like Shaq and Dr. Phil.

but it didn’t make any sense they changed the dialogues different
