Why does the world hate the French?
I was in the UK and they had french jokes.. Go to poland and they have French jokes too. Is it really that bad to be French? I mean it seems universally accepted that the French only know how to surrender?
Why wouldn’t the Statue of Liberty work in France? Because she has only one arm raised.

I think the second World War and the French governments odd relationship with its key allies since then (the UK and the US, primarily) has caused this lack of understanding. Most French people are very pro-US and UK. They have just had a strange run of Presidents who haven’t been (Chirac, etc.) Sarkozy seems to be fixing some of that – although he is from Poland! I personally love France and enjoy visiting.

France won the First World War, through the bravery and sacrifices
of its soldiers. Have you ever read of the tragic but epic Battle of Verdun? France was soaked in blood at the end of WW1…they didn’t surrender then. And Eisenhower said that the French Resistance
in WW2 had been as valuable to the Allies as 10 divisions!
The French are Snobby at times, so everyone makes fun of them.

But my reason for not liking the french is b/c they backed out from supporting us in 2003.

Well its all Bullshit really, and you’ll find plenty of Bullshit around here!
The French attacked, attacked, attacked, attacked, attacked and attacked during WW1 and lost more men (% of population) than anyone else that I can think of. Consequently, the French went too far in the opposite direction during WW2, where they made the mistake of defence, defence, defence, defence, defence and defence. So France made the mistake of oscillating too violently between the extremes of attack and defence during the 2 world wars.
The Germans fecked EVERYBODY they attacked in WW2. Their Blitzkrieg butchered everybody who got in their way during WW2. So France is not alone in being defeated by Germany. America got its arse kicked by Rommel (Kesserine Pass). It was a NEW TYPE of war and it took everybody (except the Germans) YEARS to learn how to fight it.
Its alright for America to go on and on about saving evcerybody, but America never had Nazis on its territory lining up its elderly, women and children to be raped, tortured or executed.
OK so the French are "Surrender Monkeys"!?!? WOW, that must be why they managed to butcher so many European armies during the Napoleonic wars.
The French had the SENSE to surrender during WW2 when the alternative was to needlessly line up your entire population to be butchered and buried in mass graves!
People like to slag off the French so they can delude themselves into believing that they are superior. Like I said: BULLSHIT or MERDE!

Poll: What was the biggest chance you took this week?
Today, I had to perform part of a song for my Spanish class and it was optional, but I knew that if i didn’t do sing, I was gonna regret it and be like "why the hell didn’t i do it!?" So i was very happy with myself that i took a chance and it paid off
